Schülke kodan® Tincture Forte Colourless is a ready-to-use, alcohol-based skin antiseptic developed for fast and effective skin disinfection before invasive procedures. With its broad antimicrobial spectrum and short contact time, it is ideal for professional piercing and tattoo studios, medical facilities and clinics where reliable skin preparation is essential.

The alcohol-based formulation contains 2-propanol, 1-propanol and biphenyl-2-ol, providing rapid antimicrobial activity. The antiseptic offers bactericidal activity, including against mycobacteria and MRSA, fungicidal activity and limited virucidal efficacy against enveloped viruses, including HIV, HBV and HCV. One of its key advantages is the short contact time of just 15 seconds before injections, blood sampling and piercing procedures, according to the relevant application instructions.

Another benefit is its prolonged antiseptic effect lasting at least 24 hours, according to the manufacturer. The formula also offers good skin compatibility, even with frequent application. As the solution is colourless, it is particularly suitable for procedures where visible staining or marking of the disinfected skin area is not desired.

The practical spray bottle allows convenient and targeted application. Its specially designed spray pump can be used from different positions, making it easy to apply the solution to the required skin area. Alternatively, the antiseptic can be applied using a saturated swab. No dilution is necessary.

Composition per 100 g of solution:

Active ingredients: 45.0 g 2-propanol, 10.0 g 1-propanol and 0.20 g biphenyl-2-ol.

Other ingredients: Hydrogen peroxide solution 30%, purified water.

Application: Apply kodan® Tincture Forte Colourless undiluted by spraying onto the skin or using a saturated swab. Ensure complete wetting of the area and observe the specified contact times for the intended application.

Important: For external use only. Not suitable for surgical hand disinfection. Do not use on newborn or premature infants. Avoid contact with eyes. Allow the treated skin to dry completely before applying dressings or using electrical instruments. Keep away from open flames and ignition sources.

If no dedicated hand disinfectant is available, kodan® Tincture Forte Colourless may also be used for hygienic hand disinfection.
